Mariana Duarte is a Master's student in Industrial and Product Design at the University of Porto. With an academic background in psychology and human well-being, she explores how design can contribute to health and social well-being. Her current research investigates the relationship between product design and well-being, examining how design can act as a tool to support human health and enrich everyday experiences. Through a user-centred and participatory approach, she is developing solutions that foster cognitive comfort during attention-demanding activities. Her work focuses on the co-design of fidget tools aimed at supporting well-being in contexts that require sustained attention.
