Joel Maia is a graphic designer who completed his degree at Porto Lusófona University in 2022. As a student, in the 3rd year of the degree, he won the best illustration for the children’s comic book YES. The comic was printed and is now used as didactic content at Pedro Hispano Hospital appointments, to prevent child obesity. Joel also worked for the Book Cover publisher and illustrated 14 covers for the Jules Verne Collection, published and distributed by the daily newspapers Jornal de Notícias, and Diário de Notícias. Currently, he is working as a freelancer with a focus on illustration, branding, motion graphics, and UI/UX.
